A Little Florida Beach Town
There is nothing like a beach getaway to relax, regroup and recharge.
Hey all, slightly tanned Gadabout Gal Michele here. I just returned from a 4.5 day, 4 night stay in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida for some fun in the sun and beach bumming relaxation with my daughter!
Indian Rocks Beach is part of the perfect triangle - Just south of Clearwater, just north of St. Petersburg and west of Tampa along the beautiful Gulf Coast. It's not as commercialized as the other beach towns which gives it the perfect laid back feel.
During our stay the weather was perfectly sunny, extremely warm, with welcoming breezes and crystal clear water.
We found a reasonably priced AirBnB apartment that was just across the street from the 7th Avenue Beach access. The location was perfect for days spent on the beach. It also attracted some of the most tropical looking birds. One morning I walked out the door to meet this beautiful fellow. Thankfully he was very friendly.
The days were wonderful. One day we even saw a manatee swim by. I was so surprised I forgot to grab my camera so you'll just have to take my word for it.
The evenings created the most incredibly beautiful sunsets. The camera just doesn't do the vivid colors justice.
I put together a short video of some of the sites and sounds. Take a couple minutes and enjoy the video. All Indian Rock Beach asks is that you only leave your footprints.
But you can take plenty of memories with you. And that is exactly what I did with my daughter.
