A Day in The Sunflowers with Lunch on the Patio
Such a FUN day yesterday, exploring Yellow Springs, Ohio and the surrounding area.
Gadabout Gals Michele and Kelly started out with a tasty Amish breakfast at Der Dutchman Plain City ,Ohio then ventured about 40 minutes southwest to the Tecumseh Land Trust in Yellow Springs.
🌻🌻 They have the most glorious sunflower field there, it blooms every September and people from ALL around come to see it and to take photos. Standing in this field of beautiful & vibrant sunflowers will definitely put a BIG smile on your face! (See our BIG smiles)!
🌻🌻 NOTE: The sunflowers will likely be in bloom until September 30th this year. The field is open 7 days a week during daylight hours. There is no fee, but they do accept donations.
After our fun in the flowers, we drove a few miles down the road and into the main business district of Yellow Springs. Such a fun, funky and kind little town...with over 75 cool & unique shops, galleries, restaurants and art spaces.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the outside patio at The Winds Café (the menu is very inventive & eclectic..and the 'Italian Margaritas' & the Frosé were both faves with us!).
Enjoy our photo album. It's full of color! This is a definite must see and highly recommended by all three Gadabout Gals.
